Alex lives in a studio apartment in the heart of Hollywood, Los Angeles, United States. There are lots of touristy things to do and see in the city of Angeles. The building where Alex lives is one of them. Alex lives 1/2 block off hollywood boulevard which is famous for the stars on the street, the chinese theater and most bars and clubs that have been in movies, TV commercials and shows.
His
apartment is in a 1928 decorative historic building that was once a hotel and is now a City Cultural Historic Landmark. The building once was home to Humphrey Bogart, Mae West, Bing Crosby, Howard Hughes, the Barrymore family and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Few to mention” Alex says.
Alex is in the movie business and sees how busy and demanding life can be in Hollywood. He is a painter, but has his own company as well. He does everything from writing poems and lyrics to directing short movies. He is also a masseur and very spiritual person. “I believe helping other will get me good karma.” He says and continues: “Couch surfing appeals to me because there is a fear that is all around us. I think the media helps to keep people afraid of each other. Most of the people wont even say hello when in a elevator together. Couchsurfing takes it to the other end of the spectrum: it’s making a stranger a friend and it’s building trust. i think its one of the best uses of the internet in these days.”
